A small, light semi-automatic for small, light dwarves. More deadly than it appears.
— Weapon description

The Subata 120 is the default secondary weapon used by the Driller. It is a typical semi-automatic handgun with what appears to be a brown bakelite or polymer grip, loaded with an oversized magazine.

It is a simple, basic, and uncomplicated weapon, making it reliable in a lot of situations.

Stats Breakdown

Unique Modifications

Unique Modifications
Icon Upgrade Heat.png
Volatile Bullets
Volatile Bullets causes each bullet fired out of the Subata, onto burning targets, to deal +50% more damage. Burning can be applied to targets from the CRSPR Flamethrower or other weapons capable of burning. The Flamethrower allows the Driller to have a synergistic pairing of weapons when taking this mod.
  • Damage: 50% Fire + 50% Heat (of the Kinetic damage caused by the bullet fired)

As such, it can extend the duration of the On Fire DoT.

Icon Upgrade Special.png
Neuro-Corrosive Toxic Catalyst
When a non-friendly creature has at least one instance of Neurotoxin or Corrosion effects, Subata is able to apply two Status Effects on that creature with any direct hit, regardless of armor.

The first Status Effect is of Corrosive type. It deals Damage over Time (DoT). Upon expiration of the first applied instance of this status effect, all applied instances on the same creature get deactivated. There is no icon for this effect.

The second Status Effect is of Poison type. It can't be applied to Robots. When an enemy creature dies with an instance of this Status Effect, it deals Death Explosion to all enemies around it. The duration of the effect is 4.5s. The effect doesn't stack, it can only be refreshed. It has a yellow icon that indicates when it's active.

Damage over Time
  • Damage: 1.6 Corrosive every 0.5s
  • Duration: 5s
  • Can stack: 30 times max
  • Deactivation: all instances on the same target at once

Death Explosion

N is calculated as a maximum between:

  • Current amount of active instances of DoT effect
  • 1

Unique Overclocks

Chain Hit

Chain Hit is a Clean Overclock that, after hitting the weakpoint of a creature, gives the Subata 120 a 75% chance to ricochet, up to 10 meters, to the closest creature (non hostile creatures are ignored, excluding Huuli Hoarders).
Bullets do full damage before a ricochet.

Explosive Reload

Explosive Reload is an Unstable Overclock that causes bullets that have hit an enemy to explode on reload. The explosion does not have any AoE, only affecting the creature it explodes in.

  • Damage: 42 Internal (per bullet that damages the target ; damage is not affected by Modifications, or by hitting Weakspots, Armor, or Freeze)
  • Bullets stay through automatic reload ("Born ready!") activation and can still be activated on next reload
  • A full reload is not necessary to activate Explosive Reload. It will trigger at the beginning of the animation. Canceling the reload, by switching weapon for example, will still activate the effect.

Mastery

Each modification that is purchased advances a mastery bar by one unit.
