The High Explosive Grenade is an unlockable Throwable explosive for the Driller.
A simple throwable grenade. The HE Grenade will detonate once it lands on the ground after a brief delay. With high damage, a wide blast radius, very strong armor breaking and fear capabilities, the HE Grenade is simple and powerful. It can be used in a variety of situations and its simple function allows it to fit comfortably in any kind of weapon modification build for the Driller.
The HE Grenade is unique in that it may be "cooked" while the grenade button is held down. The Dwarf will hold the grenade in his hand while the fuse counts down to allow the grenade to explode sooner after being thrown. If the grenade's fuse runs out without being thrown then the grenade will detonate in the Dwarf's hand and deal damage to both the Dwarf and everything in the surrounding area.
 Unlocked through a level cap.
