There are currently 4 biomes available in DRG Survivor: Cristalline Caverns, Magma Core, Hollow Boughs, and Salt Pits. Each biome has 5 different hazard levels that must be unlocked with biome points. These can be earned by completing the unique challenges shown when choosing the hazard level.

Cristalline Caverns

The Cristalline Caverns are unlocked by default. This is a standard biome with purple mineable terrain and purple crystalline structures. Enemies are at the default difficulty.

Magma Core

Magma Core is a step up in difficult from the Cristalline Caverns. It features dark rocky mineable terrain with molten lava veins both in the terrain and on the ground. These veins will deal damage to miners attempting to mine the terrain or walking over spots on the ground. Enemies have 5% more HP and deal 5% more damage.

Hollow Bough

The Hollow Bough introduces another new mechanic for a new challenge. It features green mineable terrain, thin brown vines, and thick red vines. The brown vines are regenerating vines, meaning they will reappear a short time after mining. This is important for the Hazard 1 challenge shown below. The thick red vines are unable to be mined or removed by any means and must be treated as voids in the ground. Enemies have 10% more HP and deal 10% more damage.

Salt Pits

The Salt Pits feature white rocky terrain on a red dirt background. Most of the terrain in the Salt Pits is easier to mine compared to the stone in other biomes, except for dark gray strips which have a normal break speed. A new mechanic is added with this biome. Players will come across large red pulsating stalagmite clusters in the ground that, upon mining, will drop several stalactites from the ceiling around the crystal. Enemies have 15% more HP and deal 15% more damage.
