Shredders are very small rival tech bots. They can appear if a Prospector Drone has been attacked along with Patrol Bots, can appear in Industrial Sabotage missions, or during rival waves in the Rival Presence mutator. They will primarily quickly fly around looking for targets to slam into.
An individual Shredder is rocket/missile like in appearance, with sharp angles and blade-like fins. The stabilization fins along its sides can be assumed to help it quickly zip around, and it has a glowing orange visual sensor on its front. In Season 03: Plaguefall, the Shredder Swarm grenade was added, deploying 5 of an altered version of the Shredder.
Combat
The Shredder is fairly aggressive and is only capable of a melee attack. Its attack consists of spinning in place before darting in a forward-and-back motion to ram its target. At the end of this motion, it ends up in the same location where it originally started the attack. It then pauses in place for a moment before attempting to attack again.
Upon being killed, it has a special animation where it falls to the ground and explodes.

-The Shredder Swarm Grenade was made by reverse engineering and studying Rival Tech Shredders found tangled in returning dwarves' beards during medical examinations.
