The Glyphid Septic Spreader is a hostile creature found on Hoxxes IV. It can be found in any region.
Their appearance is very different to that of other common ranged Glyphids, possessing an enlarged bright red abdomen filled with septic goop, and a green colored exoskeleton. They are exclusively ranged enemies, possessing a unique projectile attack that leaves behind puddles of corrosive goop wherever it lands.
They possess a large weakspot, and little armor, only having a few plates protecting the front of their abdomen, making then especially vulnerable to precision weaponry. They make up for this vulnerability with their swiftness and positioning, staying far away from players, often hiding behind cover.
Combat
As its entry suggests, the Glyphid Septic Spreader is an evasive, mobile creature heavily reliant on ranged attacks. It is especially deadly as it posses a unique attack, Sepsis Lob, firing projectiles in an arc, making it capable of attacking a dwarf even if they are not within its direct line of sight.
It commonly exploits this strength by keeping a large distance between itself and the player, often firing from behind cover so as to remain out of sight of players. Additionally, the Septic Spreader is essentially silent until it begins attacking, in which it emits a distinct hissing noise before beginning to fire sepsis at any unaware foes. The Septic Spreader can thus be an intimidating enemy if allowed enough time to attack, even during swarms where players are likely to end up occupied by other creatures.
They even remain dangerous after death, as upon dying they release several globs of septic goo, damaging and poisoning any nearby players, and covering their immediate surrounding with septic puddles.

Attacks
- Sepsis Lob: The Septic Spreader fires a large mass of red sepsis in a catapult-esque fashion (much like the Corrosive Sludge Pump). The resulting impact creates a puddle of corrosive sepsis which lingers for a few seconds before dissipating.
- Abdomen Rupture: Upon death, the Septic Spreader leaves behind a lingering puddle of sepsis which damages any dwarves who touch it.
