Glyphid Spawn
The Glyphid Spawn is a hostile creature found on Hoxxes IV. It is a miniscule, infantile Glyphid loosely resembling the Glyphid Swarmer, distinguished from the latter by its slightly smaller size and its body always being mint green in color regardless of biome.
Glyphid Spawns are exclusively spawned by the Glyphid Brood Nexus and thus do not spawn naturally within the biome.
Combat
The Glyphid Spawn will run at the dwarves to engage in melee combat, often jumping towards them when they get close enough. Their combat behavior is identical to that of the Glyphid Swarmer.
While dealing the same amount of damage as the Glyphid Swarmer, the Glyphid Spawn has less health than the former. Thus, all strategies effective on Swarmers should be even more effective on Spawns.
When the Brood Nexus is destroyed, multiple Spawns will explode out of it (unless it is destroyed while frozen).
Health and Armor
The Glyphid Spawn has very little health and bears no armor. Although weak by themselves, their primary strength comes from their mass numbers, which will continuously increase until their Brood Nexus is destroyed.
