Performance Pass
The Performance Pass was introduced with the Season 01: Rival Incursion update, and contains various cosmetics, resources, and credits that players can unlock through normal game play, and interacting with Season Events.
The Performance Pass consists of three major elements: the progression track, the daily challenges and the cosmetic tree. Completing missions and challenges earns players Performance Points and advances them along the track. Some daily challenges and certain track milestones award
Scrip, a currency that can be used to unlock items in the cosmetic tree.
Any performance pass can be selected via the season terminal, allowing players to gain what they missed from previous seasons.
Progression Track
Players start at rank 1 for each seasons Progression Track, and can then increase their rank to gain rewards. Upon increasing their rank in a given seasons Progression Track players will either receive a cosmetic item, 1-3 scrip, or some amount of currency (such as crafting minerals or credits). Players have completed a progression Track once they reach rank 100. Increasing rank past 100 only awards credits. Progression Track Progress is saved regardless of selected season, allowing players to progress through each seasons Progression Track whenever they wish.
Players must collect 5000 Performance Points to progress their selected seasons Progression Track by 1 level.
Performance Points

Performance Points (Often shortened to PP) are a type of experience used to increase the players Progression Track rank. They can be gained by earning XP during missions, completing Season Assignments, completing Season Events, and completing Season Challenges.
Earning Mission XP
Playing any mission will award Performance Points by a share of the total mission experience gained.
A successful Deep Dive always awards 1537 , while an Elite Deep Dive awards 1731
.
Here are approximate numbers of total mission experience required for certain numbers of Performance Points.
The formula is using diminishing returns, therefore, Double XP anomaly does not equal double the points.
Some Seasonal Events will spawn a special item on missions that, if deposited, doubles the Performance Points of that mission.

Completing Season Assignment
Completing the Drilling Deeper seasonal assignments will reward a total of 25,000 .
Both parts consist of 5 missions rewarding a total of 12,500 in addition to credits and crafting materials.
- Part I: The Drillevator
- Part II: Expanding the Business
These assignments are only available until the next season releases. See Season Assignments, for previous season assignments.
Season Events
Depending on the players selected season certain season events will be more or less common. Completing one of these events, and depositing the associated resource will grant the player Performance Points. If the event matches the players selected season then they may also be granted scrip.
Core Stone (Season 5)

Plagueheart (Season 3-4)

Plaguehearts can be acquired during any normal mission with a Meteor Impact, Meteor Shower, or Rockpox Corruptor event. Each deposited Plagueheart awards 300 upon mission completion.
If the player has Season 3 or Season 4 selected, each 6 collected Plaguehearts also awards 1 , for a maximum of 15 per season.
Data Cell (Season 1-2)

Season Challenges
Season Challenges are season specific challenges that award players with Performance Points upon completion. Each season posses unique challenges alongside several shared challenges.
Players can make progress on and complete several challenges at once, provided the conditions are met. However, challenges are refreshed at a rate of only one every 21 hours with three maximum active.
A single challenge can be re-rolled once per day by hovering the cursor over its description box and selecting the button in the bottom-right corner. Any progress on the challenge being re-rolled will be lost.

Cosmetic Tree & Scrip
Scrip can be used to purchase items on the cosmetic tree. Scrip may only be used in the season in which it was earned.
The Cosmetic Tree is a big tree-like connected grid of various cosmetics, paintjobs, and weapon frameworks. Some items have connection nodes between them that will grant 50 of a single pre-determined crafting resource.
The path of unlocked items is marked in yellow liners/borders, while items that can be unlocked with the next Scrip have a shining outline. Inaccessible items are greyed out.
Each node (including the connection points) requires 1 to unlock.
Weapon Maintenance
Weapon maintenance is a mechanic designed to encourage players to switch around their weapon builds and play with different weapon combinations.
When a player receives Experience for completing a mission, both the primary and the secondary weapon that were equipped receive an equal amount of maintenance. After enough XP is accumulated, a new paintjob is unlocked for that specific weapon; any left-over XP is counted towards the next paintjob. Weapon maintenance is a cosmetic feature and carries no benefits for a weapon's combat performance.
The choice of mods and overclocks does not matter for the purpose of this mechanic, a weapon will receive all the same. Grenade choice is up to the player too, as throwables do not have cosmetics and don't affect this mechanic.
Since weapon maintenance is tracked for each weapon separately, it's only possible to "level" two weapons at a time. It takes 1 215 000 to unlock all eight paintjobs for all weapons on one class, and a total of 4 860 000
to do that on all four classes.
Paintjobs are unlocked in the following order:

Trivia
- Even though the name "Performance Pass" is most likely a reference to "Battle Pass", it has no monetization to it.
- Scrip is based on company scrip, currency paid by a company to its employees as substitutes for government-issued legal tender, often only usable at company stores in remote locations.
