Ommoran Heartstone Core is a primary objective in Escort Duty. It is found at the center of Ommoran Heartstones. They are heavy objects and must be picked up and carried by hand, or via Bosco. When carrying it, a dwarf cannot do anything but throw flares / throwables, ride ziplines, and move with a 25% speed penalty (Sprinting is disabled, but the Dash perk can still be activated.). It can be dropped by switching weapons or using the Laser Pointer, it can also be thrown far away by holding the [FIRE] key ("Left Mouse Click" by default) before releasing it, just like the rest of the heavy objects.
Appearance
The Ommoran Heartstone is a yellow sphere with rock-looking scratches on it.
Stages
There are 4 stages of the heartstone. Once each layer is broken, there is a damaging explosion. The Ommoran has 3 possible attack phases. In stage 2, a random attack phase will be triggered, which will end once the second layer is broken. During stage 4, another attack different from the one in stage 2 will be triggered.
Locations
Ommoran Heartstone Core can be found in any Biome during the Escort Duty mission type.

Trivia
- The Ommoran Heartstone and Data Rack are the only heavy objects that will continue to be visible when deposited in the M.U.L.E, with them being strapped to the top.
- The Ommoran Heartstone appears to discharge use-able energy, as the Shard Diffractor weapon for the Engineer is powered by a 12-pound chunk from an Ommoran Heartstone.
