Thorns is one of the 23 available perks that currently exist in Deep Rock Galactic. It can be unlocked on the first row of perks and there are 4 tiers; each tier requiring 2 / 5 / 8 / 11 perk points respectively for a total of 26.

Perk Breakdown
- The damage dealt is typeless, being unaffected by all vulnerabilities and resistances an enemy may have
- The perk can only cause damage once every 0.75 seconds.
- The damage dealt by Tier 4 of this perk will instantly kill the following enemies on all hazard levels and player counts:
- The effect triggers upon taking melee damage. As a result, players cannot trigger it while invulnerable (such as after being revived). Additionally this means some enemies do not trigger its effects, even if their attacks seem like they should. Naedocyte Shockers and Cave Leeches being two notable examples of this.
