Notable Quirks

By default, every shot from the Boltshark applies both Shock and Corrode statuses. If an OC is taken that adds a bolt to the rotation, then every shot from the Boltshark will apply that new status effect as well - for example, if both Fire Bolt and Cryo Bolt OCs are taken, then every shot will apply Shock, Corrode, Burn, and Slow statuses at the same time. This makes potency and status effect damage very strong upgrades for the Boltshark.

The "Bolt Volley" Unstable Overclock changes the Boltshark to burst-fire mode, like the GK2 or BRT7 - every "shot" becomes a burst of rounds equal in size to the number of bolts in the rotation (so anywhere from 2 to 4 shots per burst). All bolts in the burst are fired in the same direction, like the "Thunderhead" Heavy Autocannon.

If there are 4 bolts in the rotation, then the Boltshark will still fire two bursts of 4 rounds each before reloading - effectively increasing the clip size to 8. Additionally, the weapon will NOT wait for the previous burst to complete before firing the next one, so with enough fire rate you can have multiple bursts overlapping.

Bolt Volley lists -30% Firerate as an additional effect, but effective firerate will still be far higher than without it.

The "Payload" Unstable Overclock will cause each shot to explode if it hits a large target or terrain - this explosion deals damage in an area equal to the damage from the shot itself, applies electric status to all targets hit, and also deals a small amount of mining damage to any terrain in range.
