The "Thunderhead" Heavy Autocannon is one of the weapons available to the Gunner in DRG Survivor. It is the unlocked by reaching Rank 12 on the Gunner, and is equipped by default for the Heavy Gunner Class Mod.
Unique to this weapon, the Autocannon fires a volley of bullets which upon firing the first shot, will lock the angle at which it has been fired for the rest of the clip, and continue firing until it is empty. Due to the fact that it prioritizes shooting at bugs with the most health, and because of the locked firing angle, this allows the survivor to easily pick their targets by repositioning themselves while the weapon is unloading its clip. Coupled with its massive damage per shot and large clip size, makes it a devastating weapon for single targets. Its bullets also have the potential of slightly knocking away bugs, allowing it to slow them down, or even prevent them from approaching, depending on the upgrades to fire rate.
However, the Autocannon has a painstakingly long reloading time, which can put the survivor in a vulnerable state far longer than most other weapons. Coupled with the locked angle upon firing, if shot in the wrong direction, can potentially waste the entire clip without proper repositioning, costing another long-lasting reload in the process. The knockback caused by its bullets can also knock the bugs sideway, making aiming with the weapon slightly more inconsistent overall, notably on smaller bugs.
