| — Mission Control |
The Reclaimers are the main playable characters of Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. Unlike their regular mining counterparts, they're called in only in the most dire of situations, when all else fails. They are Deep Rock Galactic’s elite security force and are the best the Company has to offer. Equipped with a new arsenal of advanced weaponry, cutting-edge equipment and experimental biomedical enhancements available only to the Company’s finest.
As of now, there are five playable classes in the game, each specializing in their own field, with even more to come! The gameplay strongly relies on effective teamwork between each Reclaimer, and to make sure the mission won't go to waste, you’ll be deployed in teams of four operatives. Close cooperation is essential, for a lone dwarf is an even easier prey for what the Horrors the Hoxxes have to offer at these depths.
Reclaimer Classes
Currently, there are five playable reclaimers:
The Guardian, this defensive reclaimer can provide his team with a breathing space in dire situations or stun any creature for a period of time using his Seismic Gloves. The deck makes sure that he's the last one to go down, while also providing enough area control to deal with hordes of creatures.
The Spotter, a hunter at heart, this class can mark enemies for a guaranteed crit chance using their Crit Darts, his deck provides him with improved crits and higher mobility for easier hunting.
The Falconer, with her Lightning Drone this operative can wreck high voltage havoc on their enemies, and her deck making sure the Drone is ready at all times while also providing bonuses when engaging against electrified targets.
The Slicer, a front-line reclaimer that relies on smart movement to deal quick bursts of damage using his Plasma Blade, good for both close-range crowd clearing and single target annihilation. The decks excel in melee and reward the user for succesful kills.
The Retcon, is as much a damage dealer as a damage receiver. She can negate all incoming damage during a short period with her Time Rewind, while also building-up Rage ability, which doubles the damage output once activated. The decks expect her to engage up-close and in tandem with the rest of her arsenal to maximize power.
Reclaimer Abilities
Just like regular mining operatives, Reclaimers can perform the same basic actions. They can walk, sprint, jump, use Combat Pickaxes, throw Flares, and use a Terrain Scanner to identify points of interest. What makes each reclaimer unique is their ability and deck that define each class.
Reclaimers share the same amount of HP, deal the same amount of damage with their weapons, take the same amount of damage from enemies and are about similar height. However, the player can increase each of the reclaimers personal stats through Enhancements on the Ramrod or with Bio-Booster decks during the game.
