The Ossiran Scrab is a hostile Creature on Hoxxes IV. It is found exclusively in their home biome, the Ossuary Depths, though they also appear in other biomes on any mission featuring the Scrab Nesting Grounds Warning.
The Scrabs resemble large Hercules beetles with six black legs, two black armored horns, two white beady eyes, glowing orange abdomen and wings, and white armored elytra. Their nests appear as piles of bones on the surface of terrain, which burst open when the Scrabs fly out. This make the nests difficult to discern among the myriad of bones present in the Ossuary Depths, but far easier to spot in any other biome.
Combat
They appear in small groups during swarms as well as bursting out of the ground when their nests are approached.
Scrabs can move alongside surfaces like all other grounded creatures, but they are also able to take flight, hovering near their target. In both modes of locomotion, they attempt to strike at nearby Dwarves with their large horns, either charging on the ground or diving through the air. The weak point on their abdomen is covered by their elytra while grounded, but not while airborne.
